Release 3.0.0 (and 3.0.0.1)
In this release an upgrade of the CMS TYPO3 from version 8 LTS (Long Term Support) to version 9 LTS was carried out. For the editors, this results in a few relevant changes in the operation.
We have created an overview which contains the biggest and/or most important changes and explains them in more detail. In addition, this overview contains a list of known issues that will be addressed and fixed gradually in the post.
Visible improvements:
- [SYSTEM] The new Redirect module allows site admins to control and organize redirects and URLs without language shortcuts. Instructions can be found here.
- [SYSTEM] The text editor has been replaced.
- [SYSTEM] The Shared Elements list now only links to existing pages. Previously translations were linked, although they did not exist.
- [SYSTEM] Unused elements are now displayed to users and can be cleaned up by them.
- [SYSTEM] The Page Access field has changed. Now the selected value stands for visible, old it stood for disabled. The values were taken over accordingly with the update.
- [SYSTEM] The fields for configuring the URL of a page now have a different name and look different.
- [SYSTEM] Links to external websites must now be entered with protocol (e.g. ). The existing links have been supplemented accordingly.
- [SYSTEM] View module now looks different, but functionality is the same.
Hidden improvements:
- [SYSTEM] Upgrade from TYPO3 version 8.7 to version 9.5.
- [SYSTEM] More than 30 software modules (libraries) have been updated
- [SYSTEM] easyWeb standard specific configurations and functionalities have been adapted for version 9
