Basics (TYPO3) - Videos

Please note: In the videos a slightly differently configured base installation of TYPO3 is used. Since easyWeb standard is adapted to the needs of the University of Basel, it is possible that not all or other input fields as shown in the videos are available. Any differences in the videos to the easyWeb standard installation are highlighted in italics.

Important basic terms from the TYPO3 world

Login to the backend
If you click on links in the backend the function of your browser "Open in new tab" (e.g. by mouse wheel click), many backend elements can not be used in the newly opened window (e.g. page tree and module overview). Therefore it is best to perform all functions in only one backend tab and use only left and right clicks.

URL segments and redirects (forwarding)
This module is new in version 9. In easyWeb standard, the functions are limited. Therefore, certain fields are not displayed.

The "Display" module

This module requires much less functionality on easyWeb. It is enabled for multilingual functions and link validation. The video is taken from version 7, but little has changed in terms of content.
